Department of Technical Education:-

The Department of Technical Education was established in G.O.Ms.No.1166, Education Department dated 5-6-1957 to bring about coordinated efforts for the development of Technical Education by pooling of Engineering Colleges from the Director of Public Instructions and the Polytechnics from the Department of Industries and Technical Examinations from the Commissioner of Government Examinations.

Contract staff renewal GO.RT.No.78, Skills Development & Training (TE-2) Dept., Dated: 03.06.2025 for the F.Y.2025-26 is herewith communicated to the concerned. Further, the Regional Joint Directors of Technical Education, Tirupati and Kakinada are permitted to issue orders accordingly
Technical Education – Transfer of 109 teaching posts and 201 non-teaching posts from existing Government Polytechnics to: (i) 13 Government Polytechnics established in 2008 with only partially sanctioned posts, and 11 Government Polytechnics established during the academic year 2014–15 with no sanctioned posts to date; and (ii) other needy existing Government Polytechnics – Instructions.
